"It’s Carnival Time” in October.

This year for the Art for Art’s Sake event, YA/YA is exhibiting “It’s Carnival Time”, a collection of Mardi Gras themed chairs created by our new young artists. This is YA/YA’s first chair exhibit since hurricane Katrina. This will also be the first chance for our new young artists to meet the local art community. Featured in the exhibit along with the chairs are Mardi Gras masks, painted canvases, and signature YA/YA wooden blocks. The exhibit will open at the Contemporary Art Center on Saturday October 6, 2007 from 6-9PM and will continue through December.
